Our Statement of Beliefs
"We Believe and we're never the same..."
- The Authority of the Bible as the word of God and it being reliable and sufficient for everyone who wants to know God through Jesus and walk in fellowship with other believers.
- Jesus Christ as God incarnate who died for the sins of humanity and reconcile us back to God through His Blood.
- The Holy Spirit who is divine and proceeds from God and helps us in our walk and relationship to the Father and the Son.
- The need for one to have a personal salvation (i.e. conversion) and be baptised by emersion.
- Baptism and the Lord’s Supper were ordained by Christ as visible expressions of the Gospel to be practised within the church as focal rites and dramatic enactments of the meaning of faith.
- Participation in the church community and use of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and talents to serve the body of Christ.
- Looking forward to Jesus’ coming again to take us unto Himself and dwell with Him forever.
- That our worship lifestyle should reflect the life of Christ in self revelation of the Father, prayer and fasting, fellowship with other believers, compassion for the unsaved and social action.
- Our praise and worship services should be that which communicates our hearts and thoughts to and about God through art and music, combining both appropriate modern and ancient songs and liturgy.
- Children and young people have a special place in the heart of our Lord and are also capable of professing faith in Christ Jesus.
- We believe that Christians have an enemy who is Satan - the devil, and thus we should be alert and ready to engage in spiritual warfare, with Jesus and the Holy Spirit being our captain and helper in this.
- Giving is an act of worship for a Spirit-filled Church and thus members are encouraged to tithe and give regularly. As a church we also see giving as an opportunity to see the promises of God fulfilled in our lives in blessings and crediting (receipted) into our account.
